Sandie Day, a student/practitioner in homeopathy is now practicing in The Bowen Clinic, Helmsley, York, North Yorkshire, YO62 5AH on Tuesday afternoons.
Sandie has thirty-six years experience of successfully treating family and friends and is deepening into her knowledge of homeopathy by completing her studies with The Lakeland Homeopathic College.
She brings an individualised, integrated approach to her practice as she is also a qualified teacher of Infinite Tai Chi and Chi Kung and an Oriental Health Practitioner. She also uses flower essences where necessary.
Throughout her adult life she has been interested in health and completed many health modules, whilst studying for an MA (Research Methods in Anthropology) and a BA (Hons) Degree at Durham University. This led her to an understanding of the treatments and approaches to health in different cultures; which is a continual interest.
Through her extensive use of complementary therapies Sandie offers a unique approach to health and this she brings to her practice of homeopathy. The first consultation will involve taking a case history of the client’s health, life-style and presenting ‘health problem’ followed by the necessary treatment/remedies. Any follow up consultations will be approximately 30 minutes.
In acute cases homeopathy can address problems such as emotional stresses and anxieties, sinusitis, migraines, headaches, respiratory problems, joint and muscle pain, allergies, insomnia, tinnitus, ear problems, menstrual difficulties, skin disorders, teething to name a few. With more chronic cases (i.e. those which have been a long standing health disorder) homeopathic treatment can get to the ‘root cause’ of the problem and address this accordingly. A homeopathic consultation involves taking a holistic approach to health by treating “like with like” or “like with similars” therefore an in-depth and responsible approach is necessary. When treating chronic cases Sandie will work with her personal tutor at the college to achieve this aim.
Sandie is a member of the British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA). As well as other qualifications she has diplomas in Oriental Medicine, (D.OM) Shiatsu and Reiki.
Sandie will be practicing in other clinics throughout North Yorkshire.
